The Newport Township Fire Protection District, located in Wadsworth within Lake County and part of MABAS Division 4, is now featured on the site. This fire department serves a large area that stretches all the way to the Wisconsin border. They operate out of two stations and have a diverse fleet of equipment, including three fire engines, a pumper squad, an elliptical tanker, two ambulances, a brush unit, a tracked ATV, and two vintage R-Model Mack trucks from the 1980s that are used as TRT (Technical Rescue Team) support units.
A recent photo by Larry Shapiro captures one of their key assets: a Kubota ATV equipped for off-road operations. The vehicle is seen in action, highlighting the department’s ability to respond in challenging terrain.

Station 1, located at 39010 Caroline in Wadsworth, is situated just off Wadsworth Road near the local post office. It's a well-equipped station filled with a variety of apparatus, ready to respond to any call.
