From the data point of view, the industrial added value of the above-scale industries in 2014 increased by 8.3% year-on-year, of which the manufacturing industry increased by 9.4% year-on-year. From the perspective of efficiency, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved profits of 6.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.3%, of which profits from manufacturing rose by 6.5%. In 2014, the total telecommunications business reached 1.8 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%. In 2014, the total consumption of information reached 2.8 trillion yuan, an increase of 18%.
In industries such as iron and steel, electrolytic aluminum, cement, and flat glass that need to be adjusted and compressed, the growth rate of investment and production has significantly declined, and the momentum of blind expansion has been initially contained.
