It is understood that Kunshan currently has 3 new tire production plants, namely Zhengxin Rubber (China) Co., Ltd., China Construction Rubber (China) Co., Ltd. and Kubo Jianda Tire (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., which are all foreign-owned large-scale sole proprietorships and 70% of products. Exports, including car tires, truck and bus tires, bicycle tires, motorcycle tires, industrial vehicle tires, etc., are mainly exported to the United States, the European Union, South America and other countries and regions. Among them, passenger car tires and light truck and passenger car tires are the main varieties of Kunshan tire exports, accounting for more than 90% of Kunshan's total exports. Affected by the aforementioned unfavorable factors, in 2009 Kunshan exported a total of 6,101 batches of tires, with a total of 17.01 million pieces, amounting to USD 40.09 million, which was a decrease of 13.8%, 42.3% and 24.5% year-on-year.

According to analysis by industry insiders, the reasons for the rise in the export volume of Kunshan tires in 2010 are: First, the impact of the global economic crisis is gradually receding; foreign markets are showing signs of recovery; international orders have grown significantly; second, three tire companies in Kunshan are transnational.
