The unit is labeled with the number **657**, which features a halo and angel wings around the "7." This design serves as a heartfelt tribute to seven young lives lost in a tragic train collision at a rail crossing located just half a block from the fire station in 1995. The victims were Jeffrey J. Clark, Susanna Guzman, Michael B. Hoffman, Stephanie Fulham, Joseph A. Kalte, Shawn P. Robinson, and Tiffany Schneider—children between the ages of 14 and 18 who were on their way to school when the accident occurred.
This dedication not only honors their memory but also reminds all who see the number of the importance of safety and community. The unit’s design is a quiet but powerful statement of remembrance and resilience.
