Shen Jie introduced that the YC6L series diesel engines broke through the foreign technology blockade and solved the technical problems that foreign engine R&D experts have not broken through for a long time. The main innovations of the YC6L series diesel engine are reflected in emission upgrade, application of in-cylinder brake technology, application of crankcase forced ventilation technology, application of two-stage booster technology, engine electronic control system, combustion system optimization, and fuel adaptability research.
In terms of emission upgrades, Yuchai has optimized its post-processing technology and developed models that have been discharged above China IV and succeeded in batch production on the basis of the original model III.
In the application of in-cylinder braking technology, Yuchai uses the VVEB braking system as the vehicle's auxiliary braking system, which makes the braking force of the vehicle higher than the low-speed braking force of similar products in Europe and America by more than 10%, which improves the safety of the vehicle.
In terms of the engine electronic control system, Yuchai independently carries out engine rig calibration, vehicle calibration and three-high calibration (high temperature, high altitude, high heat). It has taken the lead in domestically mastering the electronically controlled engine calibration technology and breaking the foreign technology blockade.
In terms of optimization of the combustion system, Yuchai has achieved the lowest fuel consumption rate of 191g/kW·h and the engine noise of 113dB, which is far lower than other models in China and has reached the international advanced level.
For fuel adaptability research, Yuchai's first low-temperature ammonia storage control strategy and SCR system control strategy for high-sulfur diesel fuels solve the application difficulties of the SCR system in China's cities with low bus speeds and low exhaust temperatures.
The YC6L series diesel engine is the first type of domestic emission product that meets the standards of the country III, the country IV, and the country V, and is put on the market. It has been widely recognized and has won glory for the country. The YC6L series of "IV" diesel engine broke the "universal world" situation of the imported brand engine.
