Recently, Xinfu Pharmaceutical's annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of biodegradable new material PBS integrated process and complete production line project completed the installation and commissioning of production equipment and entered the trial production stage.
In addition to Xinfu Pharmaceutical, there are currently Japan Mitsubishi Chemicals and Showa Polymers, which have begun industrial production of PBS, with a scale of about 10,000 tons. However, unlike China's one-step polymerization method, Mitsubishi's PBS production uses a chain extension method.
The promotion and application of PBS will further enrich the application of biodegradable plastics, increase the choice of downstream manufacturers, and promote the development of the entire biodegradable plastics industry.
