Virtual Reality, Fabrication and other capabilities come to Autodesk’s AEC Collection at no additional cost

Tools that enhance Revit models for virtual reality, fabrication, computational design, and analysis support BIM processes from planning and design through preconstruction.

We have some exciting updates for our AEC Collection subscribers. Starting today, we’ve introduced major new additions to the AEC Collection software portfolio—tools that are designed to power next-generation BIM and Revit-based workflows for building and infrastructure projects, from early planning all the way through to preconstruction.

Before diving into the details of each new addition, I want to share a bit about why this change matters and where we've been since launching the AEC Collection a year ago.

A Year in Perspective
Last year, Autodesk launched the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Collection with a clear goal: to help you overcome your challenges by providing a more streamlined way to access the tools you need for your projects. Our vision was to equip you with a powerful set of integrated BIM tools so you can be productive now—and also prepare for the future of design and construction. With a collection that includes Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, InfraWorks, and 3ds Max, we offered a core set of essential tools for any building or infrastructure project, no matter the size.

Motivation Behind Today’s Update
I’ve had the chance to see firsthand the amazing building and infrastructure projects our customers are working on, and I'm truly impressed by the complexity and innovation being brought to life. However, even in the most forward-thinking firms, one common challenge remains: keeping up with rapidly evolving technology is expensive and time-consuming. Many of you have told us loud and clear that visualization, analysis, and fabrication capabilities have gone from “nice to have” to “essential” when it comes to implementing modern BIM workflows.

We Heard You!
Starting today, we’re expanding the AEC Collection with new tools that extend its current capabilities to support BIM workflows from design through preconstruction. And here's the best part—there's no price increase. This means it’s easier than ever for you to access and implement the powerful BIM workflows you need, exactly when you need them, by simply subscribing to the AEC Collection.

What’s New?
Here are some of the key additions to the AEC Collection:

One of the highlights is Revit Live, which allows you to turn your Revit models into immersive visual experiences. With just two clicks, you can step into a virtual reality environment and explore your designs in real-time.

We’ve also added world-class analysis and computational design tools. Robot Structural Analysis Professional and Structural Bridge Design work seamlessly with Revit to expand your structural analysis capabilities. Plus, Dynamo Studio is now available as a standalone programming environment, helping you automate complex workflows and drive smarter design decisions.

Finally, the AEC Collection now supports a full workflow from design to fabrication. With Advance Steel and Fabrication CADmep, which integrate with both Revit and Navisworks, you can model, coordinate, and fabricate MEP and structural steel systems more efficiently on a single platform.

This is a perfect example of how our customers are pushing BIM to the next level, using integrated software to improve visualization, coordination, and fabrication outcomes—resulting in stunning and efficient project delivery.

I hope you enjoy discovering and adopting these new capabilities. I’m excited to hear about and see the innovative projects you’ll be designing and building in the future. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with BIM together.

Brake System

Shantui SL50W loader brake system troubleshooting methods for five common faults
The loader has played a vital role in today's engineering construction. A good grasp of the characteristics of the loader's braking system and simple troubleshooting methods can ensure the normal use of the loader. Below, the editor will share with you the troubleshooting methods of five common faults of the loader brake system, I hope it will be helpful to everyone!
1. Run off after braking
The direct cause of deviation is caused by the unequal braking torque of the wheels on both sides. Common causes of failure:
(A) The Brake Caliper disc has serious oil pollution, and the friction system is seriously reduced, resulting in an imbalance of braking torque. At this time, the oil on the brake caliper disc should be removed;
(B) The sub-Cylinder piston is stuck and cannot work. Step on the brake of the stationary car, observe the working condition of the sub-cylinder, and dismantle and inspect as necessary.
2. The pressure of the barometer rises slowly
Main reason:
(A) Air leakage in the pipeline;
(B) The air pump is not working properly;
(C) The one-way valve is corroded and stuck;
(D) The drain bolt of the oil-water separator is not tightly closed or the pressure regulator valve is leaking.
Troubleshooting method: First, remove the air leakage in the pipeline, and then check the working status of the air pump. Remove the air pump outlet pipe and press the air outlet with your thumb. If the exhaust pressure is low, the air pump is malfunctioning. If the air pump is in good working condition, check the oil-water separator oil drain plug or pressure regulating valve to avoid bypass, and troubleshoot through inspection. Finally, check the two one-way valves in the three-way joint. The blockage of the one-way valve will cause the air reservoir to fail or slow down. In this way, the brake system failure of the loader can be solved.
3. Insufficient braking force, weak
Main reason:
(A) The brake leaks;
(B) There is air in the brake oil circuit;
(C) The wheel hub oil seal is broken, and there is grease on the clamp plate;
(D) The brake is severely worn and the friction surface is burned;
(E) Air pressure adjustment is too low.
The above-mentioned loader brake system failures can be eliminated by repairing, adjusting or replacing parts according to their respective causes.
4. When stepping on the brake, oil mist sprays out
(A) The brake light switch is damaged, and high pressure oil is sprayed from the switch interface. Replace the switch to solve it.
(B) The length of the piston rod of the afterburner pump is too large. This situation may occur when the afterburner pump assembly is newly replaced. The cause of the brake system failure of this loader is: the piston rod is adjusted too long, causing the piston stroke to be too large when the afterburner pump is working, and the brake fluid is drained The hole flows back into the afterburner pump and ejects.
During installation, the working stroke of the piston should be measured to determine the length of the piston rod.
5. Brake issuance
Fault phenomenon: The loader is struggling to walk and touch the clamp plate with hand after parking, the clamp plate becomes hot. main reason:
(A) The friction plate wears thin, the dust ring is damaged and water enters, and the piston is corroded and stuck;
(B) The return spring in the afterburner pump is weak or broken, and the high-pressure oil cannot be added.
