The purpose of crushing and grinding is to fully dissociate the useful minerals and gangues in the ore.

The pulverization process is the process of gradually reducing the size of the nuggets. The dissociation of various useful mineral particles is produced during the process of particle size reduction. If the particle size of the pulverized product is not fine enough, the useful mineral and the gangue are not sufficiently dissociated, and the sorting effect is not good; and the particle size of the pulverized product is too fine, and the pulverized particles are generated too much, although many useful minerals are dissociated very much. Complete, but the indicators for sorting are not necessarily good. This is because the particle size of the material that can be processed by any sorting method has a certain lower limit, and particles below the lower limit (ie, the over-pulverized particles) are difficult to sort effectively. If the process and equipment of the crushing operation are not properly selected and the production operation management is not good, the final product of the crushing may be insufficiently dissociated or severely crushed, which will lead to a decline in the technical and economic indicators of the entire beneficiation plant.

In summary, the technical indicators of the ore dressing plant and the economic indicators are good or bad. The root cause is often the crushing and grinding. Therefore, the crushing process and the equipment used are taken seriously, and the cost of crushing and grinding is reduced as much as possible. It plays an important role in mineral processing.
