The domestic heavy-duty truck market steadily reduced the number of Dongfeng commercial vehicles in April 2011


Affected by the national macro-control policies and rising oil prices, domestic sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in April 2011 fell. Industry data shows that from January to April 2011, the cumulative sales of domestic heavy trucks totaled 501,200. Among them, Dongfeng commercial vehicle sales of 114,200 vehicles, compared to 81,700 FAW liberation and China National Heavy Duty Truck 78,400 obvious advantages, continue to rank first in the industry.

In the first group of the industry, cumulative sales of FAW Jiefang and China National Heavy Duty Trucks both declined compared to the same period of last year in April 2011. Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles has become the only net growth company with a market share of 23.21%. Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle's excellent market performance has benefited from the company's overall good operating conditions and its advantages in the market. As the main force of Dongfeng Heavy Trucks, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. sold more than 100,000 heavy trucks in April, effectively driving the market share of Dongfeng.

The fourth to eighth positions of the industry were Shaanxi Automobile, Beiqi Foton, Jianghuai Automobile, Beiben Heavy Duty Truck and SAIC Iveco Hongyan. The top eight companies sold a total of 118,200 vehicles in April, accounting for 85% of the total sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

In terms of heavy trucks, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles sold 83,000 vehicles in April 2011, an increase of 9.46% year-on-year, and continued to maintain growth above the industry level. The cumulative growth rate of Sinotruk was -6.65%, and the growth rate of FAW was as low as -25.79%, which was the largest decline among companies. The growth rate of Shaanxi Automobile Group and Beiqi Foton Group of the second group all exceeded 17%, but there is still a big gap between the total amount and the First Group.

In terms of China Card, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles sold a total of 30,866 vehicles in the first four months of 2011, with a market share of 31.71%, which still maintains its leading position. FAW performed steadily and took the second place. China National Heavy Duty Truck ranked 7th in the industry, lowering the overall ranking of the company in the medium- and heavy-duty truck industry; Chongqing Lifan ranked third in China Card with a growth rate of 190.64%, showing the potential of dark horses.
