China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, former director of the Ministry of Science and Technology, professor and senior engineer Qiao Yingbin: Over 40 million tons (one year) of US fuel ethanol (usage) accounted for 8 percent of the increase in his energy self-sufficiency rate. However, for the majority of vehicle owners who earn their wages and improve their salaries, does the more environmentally-friendly petrol also have a higher price that makes the people's heart beat faster? The biofuel ethanol industry in China began to develop since 2001. Up to now, there are 11 provinces and regions across the country that have piloted the promotion of ethanol gasoline.
