According to preliminary reports, a red car attempted to turn from Dundee Road onto Skokie Boulevard and collided head-on with a pickup truck. The passenger inside the car was fatally injured at the scene. After the North Regional Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team (NORTAF MCAT) concluded their investigation, the vehicle was moved to a remote parking area where Northbrook firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the deceased.
