According to initial reports, a red car attempted to turn from Dundee Road onto Skokie Boulevard and collided head-on with a pickup truck. The passenger inside the car was fatally injured in the impact. After the North Regional Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team (NORTAF MCAT) concluded their on-site investigation, the vehicle was moved to a remote parking area where Northbrook firefighters used the Jaws of Life to carefully remove the victim.
