On December 8, Zhongfa Fuao Spring Co., Ltd. officially launched its operations in Tianjin, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between Tianjin Automotive Industry Group, FAW Group, and Toyota Motor Corporation. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as Vice Mayor Yang Dongliang of Tianjin, Zhang Shitang, Chairman of Tianjin Automotive Industry (Group) Company, Xu Xianping, General Manager of Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co., Ltd., Ito Masaka, President of Central Japan Motors Corporation, Yoshio Nagata, Deputy General Manager of Fuao Company, and representatives from the four shareholder companies: Fuao Auto Parts Co., Ltd., Tianjin Spring Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Chuo Weaving Co., Ltd., and Toyota Tsusho Corporation.
The establishment of Zhongfa Fuao Spring Co., Ltd. represents an expansion of strategic cooperation among the partners, with plans to invest heavily in Tianjin from this year through 2010. The company aims to build two major production bases: one for mid-to-high-end "Crown" vehicles with an annual capacity of 150,000 units and engine displacement of 3.0 liters, and another for compact, multi-functional vehicles with an annual output of 150,000 to 200,000 units. The joint venture, with a registered capital of 40 million yuan and a total investment of 60 million yuan, will focus on producing automotive suspension springs and other auto parts.
In addition, FAW Wuxi Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. recently introduced new heavy-duty diesel engines, the CA6DE1 and CA6DF1 series, designed to meet the evolving demands of the market. With the rapid development of expressways and stricter environmental regulations, there is a growing need for more efficient and environmentally friendly engines. FAW Wuxi has optimized these models with advanced technologies such as improved fuel systems, steel crankshafts, and turbocharging with intercooling. The CA6DE1 delivers power ranging from 180 to 230 horsepower, while the CA6DF1 offers 230 to 280 horsepower. Both engines meet China’s emission standards and are considered among the most advanced in their class.
The CA6DE1 serves as the power unit for 7-ton flatbed diesel vehicles and luxury passenger cars, while the CA6DF1 is ideal for 14-ton flathead diesel trucks, 12-14-ton trucks, and large luxury vehicles.
