Analysis of Electrical Drag Characteristics of Radial Drilling Machine

(1) There are many moving parts in the radial drilling machine. In order to simplify the transmission, multiple motors are used for dragging. For example, the Z3040 radial drilling machine is driven by four motors, which are a spindle motor, a rocker lift motor, a hydraulic pump motor and a cooling pump motor. These motors are all directly activated.

(2) In order to adapt to various forms of processing requirements, the rotation and feed motion of the spindle of the radial drilling machine has a large speed regulation range, and in general, it is realized by a mechanical shifting mechanism. Both the spindle shifting mechanism and the feed shifting mechanism are housed in the headstock.

(3) The main motion and the feed motion of the radial drilling machine are the movements of the main shaft. For this purpose, the two movements have a spindle motor drag, which respectively realizes the rotation and feed of the main shaft through the spindle transmission mechanism and the feed transmission mechanism.

(4) When machining the thread, the spindle is required to be reversed. The positive and negative reversal of the radial drilling machine spindle is generally achieved by mechanical means. Therefore, the spindle motor only needs to rotate in one direction.

(5) The rocker lift motor is required to rotate in both forward and reverse directions.

(6) Clamping and loosening of the inner and outer spindles, clamping and relaxation of the main shaft and the rocker arm can be realized by mechanical operation, electrical-mechanical device, electric-hydraulic or electric-hydraulic-mechanical control methods. If a hydraulic device is used, a hydraulic pump motor is provided, and a hydraulic pump is provided to supply pressure oil. The hydraulic pump motor is required to be able to rotate in the forward and reverse directions, and jog control is required according to requirements.

(7) The movement of the rocker arm is strictly in accordance with the procedure of rocker arm release → movement → rocker arm clamping. Therefore, the clamping of the rocker arm and the raising and lowering of the rocker arm are performed automatically.

(8) The cooling pump motor drives the cooling pump to provide coolant, requiring only one-way rotation.

(9) It has chain and protection links as well as safety lighting and signal indicating circuits.
