Chicago Working Fire at 10052 S Lafayette, 2-17-15

This message is from Josh Boyajian:

I was at the scene of a fire on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015, at 10052 S. Lafayette. Engine 62 arrived and found some smoke coming from the building. They deployed one line and used Truck 27’s main line to the roof. It was a quick response and they knocked the fire out pretty fast. Here are some photos I took.

These images give a good sense of what it looked like on the ground that day. The firefighters were quick to respond, and it seems like they had things under control pretty quickly. It's always sobering to see these kinds of incidents up close, but it's reassuring to know that the emergency services are there to help when it matters most. Thanks for sharing, Josh — your photos are a great reminder of the work they do every day.
