Drilling Motors

Oil Field Equipment Downhole Motor is a type of mud-powered downhole tool. It consists of five main components: the drive shaft assembly, universal shaft assembly, motor assembly, anti-out assembly, and bypass valve assembly. The motor uses the flow of drilling fluid through the bypass valve to generate mechanical energy, which drives the rotor and, in turn, rotates the drill bit via the universal shaft and drive shaft.

Drilling Motor Structure Assembly
Drilling motors are positive displacement motors (PDMs). High-pressure drilling fluid enters the motor, converting hydraulic power into mechanical energy that rotates the rotor and subsequently the drill bit.

Classification

1. Bent Housing Motor
We offer fixed bend motors, single bend motors, double bend motors, and adjustable bend housing motors (with an adjustable angle ranging from 0° to 3°), meeting various directional drilling requirements.

2. High Temperature Motor
Our drilling motors are available in temperature ranges of ≤120°C, 120–150°C, and 150–175°C, suitable for different well conditions, even in harsh environments.

3. Hollow Rotor Motor
This design enhances hydraulic horsepower and increases the upward velocity of the mud stream by using a hollow rotor with nozzles. This allows the total flow rate of the motor to be the sum of the flow through the seal cavity and the rotor.

4. Even Wall Motor
The even wall motor improves the impact resistance and deformation resistance of the inner rubber surface of the stator housing. It also prevents issues like rubber aging and rubber drop during vulcanization, ensuring better vulcanization quality and longer service life. Under the same pressure drop, it can be shorter in size, improving the kick-off rate of the mud motor.

5. Rotor Coating Technology
We can apply regular chrome coating or Tungsten carbide coating on the rotor surface, allowing the rotor to function properly in saturated saltwater mud and preventing corrosion of chrome-plated rotors in such environments.
