Drilling Motors
Oil Field Equipment Downhole Motor is a type of mud-powered downhole tool. It consists of five main components: drive shaft assembly, universal shaft assembly, motor assembly, anti-out assembly, and bypass valve assembly. The high-pressure mud flows through the bypass valve into the motor, which converts the fluid power into mechanical energy to rotate the rotor. This rotation is then transmitted through the universal shaft and drive shaft to the drill bit.Drilling Motor Structure Assembly
Drilling motors are positive displacement motors (PDMs). High-pressure drilling fluid enters the motor, converting its hydraulic energy into mechanical energy that drives the rotor and subsequently rotates the drill bit.
Classification
1. Bent Housing Motor
We offer fixed bend motors, single bend motors, double bend motors, and adjustable bend housing motors with an adjustable angle range from 0 to 3 degrees, meeting various kickoff requirements.
2. High Temperature Motor
Our drilling motors can operate in temperature ranges of up to 120°C, 120–150°C, and 150–175°C, making them suitable for even the harshest environments.
3. Hollow Rotor Motor
To enhance hydraulic horsepower and increase the upward speed of the mud stream, the rotor is designed as a hollow rotor with nozzles. This design increases the total flow rate by combining the flow through the seal cavity and the rotor itself.
4. Even Wall Motor
Even wall motors improve the impact resistance and deformation resistance of the stator's inner surface rubber. They also prevent issues like rubber aging and dropping during the vulcanization process, ensuring better performance and longer service life. Under the same pressure drop, the motor size can be reduced, improving kick-off rates.
5. Rotor Coating Technology
We offer regular chrome coating upon request. Additionally, we can apply tungsten carbide coating on the rotor surface, enabling it to function normally in saturated saltwater mud and preventing corrosion of the chrome-plated rotor in such conditions.
