Broadview Fire Department added to the site

The Broadview Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 20, serves an area just under two square miles from a single station that once housed a large collection of American LaFrance fire apparatus. While the department has modernized over the years, it still proudly maintains two historic American LaFrance units. One is a 1982 Century Series pumper, and the other is a rare Grumman AerialCat tower ladder mounted on a low-profile American LaFrance chassis—making it one-of-a-kind. Dennis McGuire, Jr. recently shared a set of photos that provide a great look at the department’s current fleet. The images include two ambulances, two engines, the unique aerial ladder, a utility pickup, and even an X-military AM General Humvee used for special operations. Among the photos is a striking shot of the fire station located at 2400 S. 25th Avenue, offering a glimpse into the heart of the department. These images not only showcase the equipment but also highlight the dedication and history behind the Broadview Fire Department. Whether you're a fire apparatus enthusiast or simply interested in local emergency services, these updates offer a fascinating look at how this small department continues to serve its community with both tradition and modern capability.
