As seen around … Evanston FD Station 25

I recently had the chance to stop by Evanston Fire Department’s Station 5. It's always interesting to see how different stations operate and what kind of equipment they have on hand. This particular station is home to Engine 25, which is their primary response vehicle. They also keep Reserve Truck 311 on standby, though it looks like Reserve Engine 327 is currently out of rotation, being used temporarily at Station 22 instead. In addition to the regular firefighting vehicles, there’s a Reserve Ambulance, number 315, and an educational Fire Safety Trailer. The setup here seems really well thought out, with everything neatly organized and ready for action when needed. While I was there, I took some photos to share. Here’s one that caught my eye—just a great shot of the station itself. I also managed to grab a few more images from around the area. Let me know if you'd like to see them! For context, all these photos came from chicagolandfirephotos.smugmug.com, which has some fantastic shots of fire departments across the region. It’s amazing how much effort goes into keeping communities safe, and seeing these stations up close really gives you an appreciation for the work they do. Oh, and just so you know, there’s even a slideshow option available if you want to view the pictures in sequence. It’s a nice touch for anyone who enjoys browsing through galleries like this. If you're interested, feel free to check it out! Here’s hoping for no emergencies, but it’s comforting knowing these guys are always prepared.
