In accordance with the Implementation Plan of the Three-year Action Plan for Major Infrastructure Construction of Transport Infrastructure (hereinafter referred to as the “Program”) formulated by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government, from 2016 to 2018, Inner Mongolia plans to focus on 99 railway, highway, airport, and urban rail transit projects ( Including one bundling project), with a total investment of approximately 392.56 billion yuan.

In the aspect of highways, the construction of the remaining sections of the national highway network will be implemented in conjunction with the national road network plan (2013-2030), the autonomous region provincial road network plan (2013-2030) and the “13th Five-Year Plan” highway water development plan of the autonomous region. The expansion and expansion of the busy section, the construction of new local highways, and the upgrading of the upgrading of the ordinary national roads and provincial highways and the construction of unreached road sections. It will focus on promoting 83 projects, build 2382.2 kilometers of highways for reconstruction and expansion, and 7258.7 kilometers of provincial highways, involving an investment of approximately 209.75 billion yuan.

According to the “Programme”, 36 road construction projects are planned for Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region this year, with a total mileage of 4003.1 km and a total investment of 113.86 billion yuan. It plans to start construction of a highway of 1595.6 kilometers and 2407.5 kilometers of a common national highway.

There are 23 projects under construction, with a total mileage of 1930.7 kilometers and a total investment of 49.501 billion yuan.
