Water industry ushered in a new development of wisdom Water Research Institute was established in Hefei, Anhui

[New concept of instrument network in China] With the rapid development of a new generation of information technology such as the Internet of things, cloud computing, big data, and remote sensing monitoring, China has set off an upsurge in the construction of a “smart city”. As an important part of the construction of a smart city, smart water management has become a hot topic of national strategic development.

Smart Water refers to the integration of various types of water-related information through the Internet, special networks, wireless networks, and hardware and software, providing ubiquitous information services for governments, businesses, and citizens, and realizing comprehensive and perceivable green and intelligent water services.
With the improvement of the economic development level, the requirements for environmental protection and resource intensive use are also increasing. Traditional water services have serious defects such as waste, low efficiency, and need to develop smart water services to better meet the needs of economic and social development.
Recently, the “Intelligent Water Affairs Research Institute” jointly established by the Institute of Smart Industry of Shanghai University of Industry and Technology and Shanghai Bangpu Industrial Group officially settled in Hefei City, Anhui Province, providing the impetus for the construction and development of smart water and even smart cities.
In recent years, the pattern of the water market has been quietly changing. Internet giants and operators rely on their own advantages in technology and resources to enter the smart water sector. Tencent is building its own smart water team. Huawei has digitalized the IoT-driven industry. Alibaba Cloud's ET environment has seen a strong attack on the brain. Baidu, mobile and telecommunications have established strategic partnerships with companies in the water sector.
With the rapid development of China's economic level, especially the issuance of "Water 10" and the acceleration of the driving effect of national environmental protection policies, it has created unprecedented opportunities for development in China's water and sewage treatment industry.
In 2017, Xlerem China launched AquaTalk, a self-developed smart water platform, and took the key step of signing an agreement for a smart pipeline network pilot project with the Zhenjiang Water Supply Company. Both parties dealt with leakage management, pipe network assets assessment and management of the pipeline network. Optimized network operations, advanced tap water treatment, water quality monitoring, smart water meters, and smart water platforms to develop strategic cooperation.
The Smart Water Research Institute established this time will focus on the needs of enterprises and focus on the production, research and development projects. It will give full play to its advantages in technology research and development, transformation of achievements, and human resources for science and technology to solve smart manufacturing, smart water and intelligent water pipes. The key technical difficulties in the field are to cultivate a professional team for design, construction, operation and maintenance, and provide technical support for the intelligent construction of the secondary water supply industry.
