Progress in the application of air separation system for predictive control in Shenyang Automation

[ Instrument Network Instrument Development ] In order to solve the problems of strong nonlinearity and high coupling in the large-scale variable working conditions of the air separation system, the research team of the Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zou Tao team designed an automatic variable load collaborative optimization control system to realize Safe, stable and efficient operation of large air separation units. The relevant results are published in Control Engineering Practice.
Automatic variable load cooperative optimization control system for large air separation plant
The air separation plant is a complex chemical system for the production of gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon. Its products are widely used in steelmaking, chemical, food processing, semiconductor and many other fields. However, due to the high nonlinearity of the device itself and the large-scale operating conditions, there are always many challenges in its safe, stable and efficient operation.
Therefore, based on a large number of theoretical and engineering studies, the research team designed an automatic variable load collaborative optimization control system suitable for large air separation plants. Aiming at the high coupling problem caused by heat integration and material recycling, a robust optimization strategy based on weak coupling model and controlled variable priority setting is proposed. The highly nonlinear problem caused by large-scale variable working conditions An incremental load calculation method based on neural network is proposed. Finally, the nonlinear hysteresis control strategy of oxygen compressor is used to realize the automatic variable load cooperative optimization control of large air separation plant.
The research results are supported by the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation.
