**Installation Guidelines:**
**Wet Cylinder Liner:**
Ensure the bore and running surfaces of the cylinder block are clean and undamaged. If corroded, rework using flange or oversized liners. Make sure the liner fits properly and aligns correctly. After installation, check the cylinder diameter in the seal ring area to avoid deformation. Use correct sealing rings to prevent narrowing and potential engine damage. Test the cooling system for leaks before starting the engine.
**Semi-Finished Cylinder Liner:**
The supporting surface of the flange must be perpendicular to the location bore and evenly beveled. Avoid uneven support that could cause tearing. After installation, the inner diameter is fine-bored and honed to meet specifications. Ensure the liner surface is flush with the cylinder block. If needed, perform surface grinding for proper alignment.
**Finished Cylinder Liner:**
Before installation, clean and inspect the location bore for accuracy and distortion. Out-of-center or damaged bores should be reworked for oversized liners. The locating bore must be cylindrical to maintain the shape of the thin-walled liner.
**Air-Cooled Cylinder Liner:**
Made from cast iron or light alloy, depending on the engine requirements. Light alloy cylinders may require special attention due to tight installation clearances.
