**Installation Guidelines:**
**Wet Cylinder Liner:**
Before installation, ensure the bore and running surfaces in the cylinder block are clean and undamaged. If corroded, rework using flange or oversized liners. Ensure the liner fits properly and is correctly positioned. After installation with the appropriate seat rings, check the cylinder diameter in the seal ring area for any deformation. Use the correct sealing rings to avoid narrowing the cylinder and potential engine damage. Finally, pressure test the cooling system before starting the engine.
**Semi-Finished Cylinder Liner:**
The flange-supporting surface must be perpendicular to the locating bore and evenly beveled. If uneven, it may tear off. After installation, the inside diameter is finely bored and finished by honing to the required dimensions. The liner surface must align flush with the cylinder block’s sealing surface. If necessary, both the block and liner should be surface-ground.
**Finished Cylinder Liner:**
Ensure the locating bore in the cylinder block is clean and accurate. If out of center or damaged, rework for oversized liner installation. The bore must be cylindrical to maintain the shape of the thin-walled liner.
**Air-Cooled Cylinder Liner:**
Used with cast iron or light alloy cylinders, depending on the engine manufacturer’s instructions. Light alloy cylinders have small installation clearances and are grouped accordingly.
