A new joint venture between Wacker Chemie AG and Guangdong Demei Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. officially opened its state-of-the-art silicone emulsion plant in Zhangjiagang City, located within the Jiangsu Yangtze International Chemical Industry Park, on April 30th. This facility, with an annual production capacity of approximately 30,000 tons, is set to supply high-quality organic silicon emulsions and processing aids to key industries such as textiles, leather, and fibers across China. The launch of this plant marks a significant step forward for Demevac, reinforcing its position as a market leader in China’s rapidly expanding industrial sector. During the official opening ceremony, the general manager of WACKER’s Silicone Business Department highlighted the strategic importance of the investment: “The completion of this new emulsion plant represents a major milestone for our joint venture. With this facility in Zhangjiagang, we are better positioned to meet the needs of local customers and deliver tailored solutions that support their growth.” In addition to the Zhangjiagang plant, Demevac has also established a new emulsion production site in Shunde, Guangdong.
