Introduction of ATS two-stage compounding line:
To produce PE cable materials, we typically use the ATS two-stage compounding line. The ATS two-stage compounding line includes an ATE twin-screw extruder, an ASE single-screw extruder, and a downstream pelletizing system. The first stage is responsible for polymer compounding, while the second stage involves extruding the compounds at a lower temperature and then pelletizing them through a downstream cutting system.

The big aspect ratio co-rotating twin-screw extruder completes plasticization, compounding, and grafting. The low-speed single-screw extruder reduces the temperature, increases the pressure, extrudes, and pelletes. This technology allows for more flexible operation, optimized technical conditions, and improved product performance compared to one-stage extruders.
 
About the pelletizing system:
Multiple cutting systems can be used in the ATS compounding line. Thanks to the modular design principle, both instrument control and PLC control are available for the ATS electrical control system. All key electrical components use European brands to ensure the control system has significant and stable performance.
For producing PE cable materials, the water-cooled die-face hot cutting system is commonly used. It combines the high-speed and strong-compounding capabilities of the twin-screw extruder with the low-speed, low-temperature, and weak-shear characteristics of the single-screw extruder. This makes it the preferred choice when processing heat-sensitive or shear-sensitive materials.
