New engine for Grayslake FPD

Grayslake Engine 2727 has officially arrived and is now stationed at Fire Station #1, as of July 19, 2018. This new engine is a Rosenbauer Commander cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins engine. It features a 750-gallon water tank, a 1,500 gpm Waterous pump, and a Class A foam system, making it a powerful and versatile unit for emergency response.

The department shared several photos of the new engine, highlighting its modern design and advanced equipment. These images give a clear view of the unit’s exterior and show how it will serve the community in the years to come.
