In March 2010, new passenger car sales in the EU (referred to as registrations, the same below) decreased by 3.4% year-on-year, and cumulative sales for the January-March period decreased by 15.5% year-on-year.
From January to March this year, the largest passenger car market in the EU is Britain, France, Germany, and Italy. The sales of buses in the four countries from January to March exceeded 1,000.
In terms of sales growth in January-March, the fastest growing passenger car market in the EU is Slovenia and Bulgaria. The growth rate of passenger car sales in the two countries from January to March was 89.3% and 87.5%, respectively.
