The common faults in the power steering system are: heavy steering, heavy unilateral, abnormal noise, noise, oil leakage, steering wheel jitter/attack, poor stability, and poor steering wheel returnability.
Steering Heavy - Causes of Malfunction (1) Foreign objects in the steering system cause the steering pump flow control valve to become stuck.
(2) The tire pressure is insufficient, the steering column of the pump interferes, the connection is loosened, and the pump installation position is loosened.
(3) The oil is dirty, the filter is blocked or the oil level of the oil cup is low.
(4) There is a lot of air in the power steering system.
(5) The wearer's piston cylinder wears too much, the seal of the oil seal is poor, and the control valve is stuck or damaged. (6) The bolts at the connection parts of the oil pipe are loose, causing leakage of steering fluid.
Troubleshooting (1) If the pump is dirty, be sure to clean the inside and outside of the booster pump and tubing (do not use cotton gauze or other multi-fiber cloths, clean with a clean brush), and vent air to the steering system as required.
(2) Inflate the tires as required and adjust the performance of the engine.
(3) Refuel to the specified oil level, check or replace the oil cup.
(4) Inspect the steering gear, oil cup filter, steering oil, and clean the entire power steering system.
(5) Replace the oil pipe, power steering pump or power steering device. (6) Check the connection parts of the oil pipe and tighten the connection bolts.
