Xu Liuping, president of Changan Automobile Group, said that Jiexun HEV is a major component of the National 863 Program “Electric Vehicle Major Projectâ€. After six years of hard work, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Chongqing Municipal Government. Finally, it has been successfully developed and become a production model with world-class level. Jiexun HEV adopts medium-oil hybrid technology, the fuel consumption of the whole vehicle is 20% lower than that of the traditional automobile, and the emission meets the national IV standard. After mass production, Jiexun HEV will donate 10 units for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
